That’s tough, I would say to find out if she wants the relationship to be long term and hopes to eventually come out.  If the answer to either of these is no I would ask yourself how long you want to live like that and how you would deal with a longterm “closeted” relationship.  if it’s not what you want, don’t wait forever for her to decide, it will hurt you more in the end.  If she is only nervous now and wants to come out eventually, stick it out if it feels right.  Much love <3

Aww, thank you!  Psychology is fascinating and has been great to learn so much about it. It is a great degree and allows you to help many people.  I don’t plan on doing anything with mine, but I do recommend it for those who want to do a career involving it!

Hi there. I’m so sorry you are struggling, self harm is not easy to get over, but if you truly want to stop and heal, you must really work hard and put in the effort to do so.

Here are our ideas to help:

-Tell someone you trust what you are doing, knowing you have someone who knows may help you express your pain verbally instead through hurting yourself.

-Admit you want to change and get better.  Many people fall into a habit of self-harm and become addicted to the ritual.  Learn your triggers and recognize when you are around them so you can avoid giving into to the “need” to harm.

-Try replacing your self harm habit with something safer.  For example, if you cut, put a rubber band around your arm and when you want to self harm, pop the band against your wrist instead of cutting it.  You still feel the pain of the rubber band hitting your skin but it won’t draw blood and leave a scar.

-Seek professional help.  You need to learn to modify your behaviors to avoid getting to the low you feel when you harm yourself.

We have!  We made it to the final round this past season, but at this point it doesn’t matter if we make a singing show or not.  They are so political and often decisions made have little to do with talent.  We know our passion and abilities and if they can’t see it, too bad for them! :)
